Skills Checklists for Lab
The checklists for the skills for this course are in the text book (Kozier) and on the CD that came with the textbook.  There are also some additional procedures added by your instructors in the SDLP.

Self Directed Learning Packets
To help you prepare for lab, the skills have been organized into self directed learning packets.  You are also to obtain the NUR 104 Skills Video from the nursing office.  This will require a $5 dollar deposit or you may exchange the NUR 103 Skills Video for the NUR 104 Skills Video.  This video shows you exactly how you will be tested for many of the skills in NUR 104.
You are required to complete the Preparation portion of the SDLP by the date it is listed on the lab schedule.  This usually includes viewing the NUR 104 Skills Video at home before class.  There will be packets containing supplies to use to practice skills at home available for check-out in the lab. See Donna Galligan.

Lab Schedules:      Monday Labs      Tuesday Labs    Wednesday Labs   Friday Labs

Laboratory Grade/Written Assignments
In order to receive a passing grade in the lab portion of NUR 104, you must successfully demonstrate all of the skills and pass the final performance test.  If you fail to demonstrate a skill successfully, you will practice and be retested until you do it correctly.
You must also have a 75% average on the written assignments in lab.  These include
written tests and a Computer Assignment, Ethical Issues for the Elderly- Unit 1A (worth 10 points). All of the written assignments are due by the last day of lab.

Guidelines for the computer assignment are found in SDLP #1.
