Designed specifically for people 25 and older, our adult advising services offer a wide variety of assistance to returning students making the transition to college: special adult orientations, academic advising, referrals to other support services, transfer information and particulars on the non-traditional bachelor degree programs in area colleges and universities. Career Services at Oakton Career Services is part of the educational services of Oakton Community College. Our primary goal is to help students, alumni and community members become career self-reliant. You can make an appointment to see a career counselor, or stop in to use the resources at either Career Counseling Career Counselors take a developmental approach to guide students, alumni and community residents of District 535* through a process of career exploration. *Non-students/alumni living outside District 535 will be charged $35 per session to meet with a Career Counselor. Career Counselors use many tools that can assist people to better understand their occupational identity. Tools include: Interest inventories Job listings (updated 8 times every business day) and Career Corner (job opportunities bulletin published every two weeks) posts the job opportunities received by Career Services from area employers. Health Services for Students at Oakton Oakton’s Health Services offer a variety of medical services on both campuses.
