Tainted Lady
Satire about Katherine Harris, Florida's Secretary of State
MIDI music added 11/8/02, thanks to Alvin Dover
(Sung to the tune of "Painted Ladies" by Ian Thomas)

(instrumental intro)

In November, she set out to assure Bush victory.
Exit polling by the networks, trying mightly,
Meant nothing, you see.
Bush just had to get his way,
Because Harris was there.
Bush kept talking, and his brain kept straining,
But his true defeat was bare.

"You... win this time, Dubya."
Tainted Lady set the deadline for Dubya.
You crooked hood, Dubya
You got Big Money, but you're still no good.
Duh, duh, duh, Duh-bya...
Duh, duh, Duh-bya...
Duh, duh, duh, Duh-bya...
Duh, duh, Duh-bya...

(instrumental break)

Voters' rights were trampled on, 'cause Bush had most to gain.
Bush was thinking, "Here's the way to win, and not explain."
"No one cares 'bout foreign affairs, or my gentleman's 'C' "
Without blinking, thinking he could steal the presidency.

"You... win this time, Dubya."
Tainted Lady set the deadline for Dubya.
You crooked hood, Dubya.
You got Big Money, but you're still no good.
Duh, duh, duh, Duh-bya...
Duh, duh, Duh-bya...
Duh, duh, duh, Duh-bya...
Duh, duh, Duh-bya...
