Newt Don't Have No Powers
(Sung to the tune of "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" by Neil Diamond & Barbra Streisand)
Newt don't have no powers
Newt can't help the right wing
You hardly hear him talk anymore
Congress showed him the door
They didn't want him to stay

Newt remembers when...
He used to be the Speaker
Used to be their leader
Now after losing Election night

Well, it's good for us
And we're feeling all right
Well, Newt just rolled over
And gave up the fight
And Newt don't have no powers... anymore

Newt was not a natural
He thought he'd rule forever
But victories didn't come anymore
The Republicans swore
When we sent them away

And Newt did not remember
What mistakes had cost him
Didn't learn from his gaffes
And got burned when he tried
To repeat his agenda
When his hands were all tied

You'd think he would learn
When we told him goodbye
'Cause Newt don't have no powers... anymore

(musical break)

You'd think he would learn
When we told him goodbye
'Cause Newt don't have no powers... anymore
